Red light comes on / but when you push power buton green light comes on then goes right back to red makes no sound no flashes no nothing so whats up doc?

Hello,
the error light sequence that you are seeing is indicating a "backlight error". Most likely you have a bad inverter board -the board that powers up the back-lights behind the display panel. They might be available via ebay if you are a DIYer, or you need to call for sony service.

How many red and green blinks to you see? (What pattern?)

If the monitor power light is on or flashing, but nothing displays, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor needs replaced.

You're lamp came to its peak burning life and now its dead that's why you can't power up the unit and the led light keeps flashing. Once the lamp replace with new one your unit will back to normal again. Hi there try to power off printer then power back on, this is usually a print job that is qued up but not printing, also if you have any print jobs in your windows printer que, delete them with the printer off. this will clear the printer. otherwise check for a paper jamb.

Hello there Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.
