All of a sudden the 5 key on my phone won't work. I've taken out the battery and even the sim card just to see if that would help. I don't know what caused it to quit working all of a sudden. If anyone has any ideas, please help! Thanks...

Step 1Remove the SIM card from your Motorola phone. The
SIM card is a small chip that is located under the battery in your cell
phone. After you've removed the SIM card from your Motorola phone,
remove the SIM card from your LG phone.
Step 2Insert the SIM card from your LG phone into your Motorola phone. Turn on the Motorola phone.
Step 3Press the "Menu" key and select the "Address Book" option.
Step 4Select "Options" by pressing the right soft key. The
"Select Multiple to" option will appear on the screen. Choose the
"Select Multiple To" option and then select "Copy to SIM to Phone."
Step 5Remove the SIM card that you placed in your Motorola
phone and insert it in your LG phone. After inserting the SIM card,
turn on your LG phone.
Step 6Click the "Menu" key on your LG phone and select the "Address Book" option.
Step 7Select "Options" and choose the "SIM Management" option.
Step 8Select the "Copy from SIM" option and choose "Select All."
Step 9Select the "Copy" option. Your contacts will be transferred from your SIM card to your LG phone.
PUK means "personal unlocking key"
. The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times. You
need to call your phone service company, they can retrieve the puk code
from a database for free. In your case you need to contact your
SIM card phone provider technical support to unlock the SIM. The PIN
and PUK are related to the SIM card, not to the phone. If you replace
the SIM card with a different one, then the phone should not ask for
the PUK anymore. Your rating is
highly appreciated on this matter.
Your SIM card is not being read anymore due to a number of reasons. Try rubbing the SIM card with a clean smooth dry cloth and then insert it again. If that doesnt work, your SIM might be damaged, take it to your network provider and they will replace it, hopefully with your same phone number.
it could be that the contacts between the phone and the sim card are dirty and therefore you will get the error code. take the battery out and remove the sim card take a q-tip with some rubbing alchohol and clean the contact on sim card and the phone itself make sure not to use alot of alchohol. let them air dry then re-insert the sim and battery this should do the trick. the error warning should go away and the phone will be abale to receive the contact info from gthe sim card.. please rate this
The puk code is sim card spesific it comes with the sim card when you get it or you can get it by calling your phone service provider of the sim card to get the puk code.
if you have entered the puk code wrong too many times you will make the sim card useless and you will have to contact your phone service provider for a new sim card, it will probably cost.
