The screen colors are all derived from three distinct colors. Red, Blue and Green. The colors can change due to a few problems. The purity or converge could have been disturbed due to magnetic interference, one or two of the color amplifiers have stopped working or the picture tube has failed. Color problems can be as easy as circling a high magnetic field coil in front of the set, known as 'degaussing' or extremely technical, frustrating and then hence expensive. Not much help, I know, but good luck.
I always try the simple things first. check the connection. if hdmi .. then try a differnt cable.
It almost sounds as if one of your connections is plugged in the wrong place.
On component.. red to red, green to green and blue to blue .. then the extra red and white go to the video part .. also may want to check the tv manual - sometimes they share those connections with regular rca connection and easy to plug in wrong place.
Rca connetions - Yellow is video - red and white audio.
S video - one big plug and then red and white audio - make sure the big plug is fully in on both devices - I've seen similar things with s-video plug not fully connected on one end or the other.
Those green dots are dead or "tired" pixels. The only thing you can try to fix this, is doing a pixel massage. Grab a pen and put some sort of towel over it and make a circling move over the pixel.
If it won't work the only thing you can do is get used to it that you have a dead pixel. ( i also have one. Very annoing)
NOT HD: Make sure red goes to red, white on white, and yellow on yellow, also make sure the switch that is on the xbox wire plug says TV not HD.
HD TV: Make sure red on red, white on white, yellow on yellow, blue on blue, green on green, etc. Also make sure the switch that is on the xbox wire plug says HD not TC
Are the yellow, red & white cables RCA phono plugs?
Yellow = Video
Red = Right Audio
White = Left Audio (mono)
The red, blue & green cables are for picture only and don't include sound. Have you tried using the red, blue & green for the picture and using the other cable, red & white for just the sound? Don't use the yellow.
from the model number you have a 42" set,,the v_set and v_scan voltages need to be set 15vdc lower..this should take care of it,,if not then the plasma panel is bad
There're video guns. Red, Blue, and Green. Sounds like they maybe going bad and need replacing. The red is already going out. Could be about $200 or more to fix.
