Wanna scan to my computer. I did put a paper then my email address. Whats next?

not sure if I understand your problem... you said "put in wrong...... now it not setting up.... if you put in wrong email and its not setup then it did not take it... so you need to put in the right email address... however if it did take it then you need to go into setup to change email address then put in wrong email then next box "new email" put in email you want to use then next box "confirm" retype your email if they match then your done.

check your gateway and ip address and you machine email id as well

I found the IP address of the printer, pulled it up in a web browser and went in under administrator mode to configurations then under destination put in the email address for the speed dial.

well scan to email or file depends on the setting your putting if its right or wrong, the machine should be hooked to network and has ip address, browse the ip address of the machine and setup the information, and try it.

Be sure that your Domain name is in the network settings on the printer. This can be done on the printer itself or opening a web browser. Put the IP address in the address bar of the browser, this will conect you to the machine. Log off the public domain that come up and log on the administrator area. Enter the password 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8, unless it has been changed. There you will be able to set all of the network functions. The machine need this information in order to direct the scans to the correct place.

Download a manual. It should tell you how to scan and send the result as a file to the computer w/o printing it out.

First install everything, than go to my computer at the bottom u will have Scanners and Camera, click on Brother MFC-7420 USB
Than if the window pop ups than click on Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard
Now u will have new Window "Scanner and Camera Wizard" click Next
On next page u will see Choose Scanning Preferences in there u will find "Paper Source"
click on the Scroll down option and pick "DOCUMENT FEEDER" and Click next
than hopefully u know wat to do pick the name fro scans that u going to make pick the folder to place it in and it will start scanning by it self and will send i to ur computer.
And put ur Scan paper with the side that u wanna scan FACE UP in the FAX tray which is on the Top or all in one Printer

These are the steps for Windows operating system.

First make sure you have installed the printer driver software installed sucessfully untill it shows fax setup wizard and complets the entire procedure.

All you need to check is first open solution Center> Go to Settings> And Email Settings> Checked which is the default email selected there if you have outlook select it (But your outlook has to be configure to send Emails fom youe PC) then click on apply and close.
Then in solution center click on scan picture or Scan Document the in the next window where you see (Where do you want to send the scanned images) Click on the drop down and select EMAIL after it has scanned and you click on accept it should open the outlook window on its own where you can put the recepients name and send.

But if in case your outlook is not configured then try the bellow link to configure outlook:

You can also send email from the printer but to enter email address you will need the computer to manully enter email address after it opens outlook window
