We bought this dvd player about 9 months ago. It's been working fine til now. Suddenly it just displays the message 'Loading' for several minutes, followe by 'No valid Disc' Any suggestions? I have discovered the same problem today. Went to finish watching a movie I started, but to my surprise my protable, displayed "close" "loading" for several minutes then "no disc". What can I do
Looks like the lens of the player is dirty or damaged. Try a lens cleaner CD first.

If it doesn't work then you will have to get the lens replaced. Since the Player is still under warranty use while you still can..

My screen suddenly stopped working. the sound is OK, but nothing on the screen. I have tried all the different commands to no avail. I tried contacting the customer service and all the links were broken, the phone number disconnected. I would appreciate any help on getting this fixed or screen replaced.
we've had 3 do this same thing within months of purchase. We put a cd/dvd cleaner disk in and it plays just fine and goes thru cleaning process. put in the movie dvd (no matter what type - ie blockbuster, burn dvd, etc) and it does not work - we get loading and can hear it try to play then nothing. it will say no disc or bad disc etc. We even unplug them because we hear if left on even in standby mode it will cause laser to burn up.
My player was g fine, then I added a new DVD, and it states "No Disk".
