Question about Casablanca Fan 3245T Ceiling
I have had 3 casablanca intellitouch fans stop working. All 3 had the same problem. The 1000uf/35vdc capacitor failed. Replaced with 1000uf/50VDC cap from Radio Shack. No problems since.

This was an excellent insight. I took my Casablanca (W32 controller type I think) apart and immediately noticed that the 1000uF(25v) valued capacitor was bulged out. I knew that there was a good chance that replacing it would fix the issue I have. Once I desoldered the old capacitor, I measured the capacitance and ESR using this - https://www.banggood.com/LCR-T4-Mega328-... You can also use a generic multimeter to test the capacitance, but ESR is a much better measure of capacitor malfunction/degradation. The capacitance was like 90uF and ESR was like 11-ohms. On a new electrolytic capacitor, it should be in the order of ~1000uF and 0.15-ohm ESR. With the replacement the fan worked perfectly! Much cheaper than upgrading the control module for $150~$175. Thanks! (Where did you find the Radio Shack? They are extinct as far as I know)
We are having a similar problem with our Casablanca Intellitouch fans. We opened the wall controller and did not find the type of circuitry you are describing. The problems are similar but no electrolytic capacitors are on our PC board. Our wall controller has 2 mylar capacitors rated each at 250 volts. There are 2 high current diodes, 1 signal diode, 3 1/4 watt resistors and a triac or similar control device. I have taken pictures of the components and the solder side of the PC board that clearly shows "W32". How can I share the pictures with you? Are you describing the circuits that are up in the actual fan?
Your thoughts are appreciated. We would like to restore operation at a low price.
Thanks, Fred Merker

Light Operation: With the light in the off position press and hold the light button (do not let go). The lights should start at a dim setting and gradually get brighter and brighter. When they get to a setting you desire let go of the light button. To reduce the brightness of the light you must first turn the light off, and then press the light button and hold it in as described above. If the light is off, and you press the light button quickly to turn it on, the light will go back to the previous setting. So if you last had the light on the high setting, it will go back to the high setting, if you had the light at a lower setting it will turn back on to the lower setting. Keep in mind you can increase the light intensity at any time by pressing and holding the light button, but to decrease the light intensity, you must first turn the light off, and start over by pressing and holding in the light button.
Fan Operation: With the fan in the off position, press and hold the fan button (do not let go). The fan should start at a slower speed and get faster and faster. When the fan is at the speed you desire, let go of the fan button. To slow down the fan speed you must first turn the fan speeds off by pressing and releasing the fan button. If the fan speeds are off, and you press the fan button quickly to turn it on, the fan will go back to the previous setting. So if you last had the fan at the highest setting, it will go back to the high setting, if you had the fan at a lower setting it will turn back on to the lower setting. Keep in mind you can increase the fan speed at any time by pressing and holding the fan button, but to decrease the fan speed you must first turn the fan off, and start over by pressing and holding in the fan button.

SOURCE: Casablanca fan is not working!!
The controler board has gone out due to either a power surge, overheating or too much wattage in the lamps. There are two types of of controlers and both are subject to this kind of failure. Here's a troubleshooting link

If you have the intelitouch system, It's probably the circuit board in the fan. Casablanca has great motors but touchy boards. I ordered mine from www.fanmanlighting.com and installed it myself, it wasn't too difficult. Hope this helps

SOURCE: Casablanca Intellitouch Fan was working fine..
Sounds like either the IT wall switch has malfunctioned, OR the IT board inside of the fan has shorted out. This is actually a fairly rare problem with the boards and you may get it covered under warranty. Try calling Casablanca. This fan is worth repairing rather than buying a new one.

There are different parts that might became bad and cause your problem like relay contact, starting capacitor, running capacitor. However all these parts are included in one unit the PCB printed circuit board or electronic board? So you need to replace this parts in attached link is also called RMM.
We have here below a link with service manual for the fan at which on the bottom you will find the parts diagram and parts list. You should try to confirm the part code for your model with Casablanca service department before confirmation of order.
Also please note that you will need a little experience with electronics before proceeding with above operation.
