Monitor is not getting signal - picture from pc. Did this ever work or is this new pc? Is PC running? Does it do more than just blow fans? Like hard drive spinning up etc.. Check your video cable connections. Turn off monitor and pc first. Remove and re plug both ends of the video cable. Look for bent pins in plug ends before re pluging. Try a different cable if possible. If not fixed, you may need a new video card. Is this a pc that was working and suddenly failed? Either the pc is not running, or the video card is failed.

Dell 2407 Can't get rid of "No S-video input signal" message on screen. How do I get rid of this?

Your S-Video connection is referring to a round plug for a TV input signal. Most computers will not have this connection unless you have a TV based video card. If your using a TV 'monitor' as your computer's video device, their will either be a button on the monitor or your remote to allow you to choose the input signal. If you are using a VGA or HDMI or DVI cable as the connector between the two devices, most likely, the light is referring to one of these, as its video source. You will need to match the cable & monitor source detected to get a usable picture output.

Good luck.

When i shutdown my computer after that when lcd goes black then at that time a message shown on the black screen that "no input signal" and also glows little bit light with this message continuously.

Your monitor may have an option to set it as "manual" or "auto". If set in manual, you will have to turn off the monitor power switch each time. If it has the "auto" setting , it should shut off or "go to sleep" when it detects no input signal.

Normal behavior. Most of the lcd monitors ( not all) show this message. You can safely turn off the monitor once you shutdown your computer.

What should I do because it says no signal input

Sounds like your video card or monitor is bad. Most likely it's the video card because if it was the monitor the No Signal Input could not appear on the screen. To isolate the problem try connecting another monitor to the computer. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and connect it to the computer. If the Borrowed Monitor displays ok without a problem then your original monitor is bad. If the Borrowed monitor has the same issue of No Input Signal as your original monitor, then your video card inside the computer is bad.

When I turn the monitor on I get a message "In

Most Dell LCDs have multiple inputs and they will go into "standby" while waiting for a signal from your PC. This happens when your PC goes into "sleep" mode or if you are sure your PC is not in "sleep" mode then usually the LCD is not in the correct input selection. Check the input selection for the appropriate input. As always, make sure the cables are securely connected. Hope this helps.

Try another cable, or check the plug for bent pins. If they are all good, check that the monitor is set for VGA input (if it supports VGA and DVI) as it may be looking for a different input. Then replace the monitor. It's not common, but video processing circuitry can sometimes fail, and yours may have. New 17-inch LCD monitors are quite inexpensive now, so it would probably be more economical to replace this one than to try repairing it.
