There are adjusters on the brake cables that are designed to solve this problem. The cables for the brakes run inside a flexible housing. When you squeeze the handle, the cable should engage the brake. The problem is that the cables inside the housing stretch over time and do not work as well. There is a threaded adjuster at the handle where the housing of the cable goes into the handle. If you turn this adjuster counterclockwise it will, in effect, make the housing longer and the brake cable tighter (shorter). This should engage the brakes better. It make take some trial and error, turning the threaded adjusters clockwise and counter-clockwise to get the proper setting for your strength and comfort. Hope this helps.

How do I set and release the brakes

On most walkers the handle you squeeze to make the brakes work will push down. If you push them down the brakes will lock on and pull up to unlock.

How to adjust parking brake on winnie lite 3 wheel rollator

For openers "LOCKING" handles)...
Very GENTLY would be the first caution..

Unlike the brakes on those long ago bicycles we used to have... these WALKER BRAKES are pretty cheesy plastic...

None of the ones I've been compelled to work with have
interchangeable parts... SO BE GENTLE.

Look at both ends of the cable of the first wheel you want to adjust...

You are looking for a threaded sleeve with a nut on it...

If the brakes are too tight you will want to shorten the sleeve...
Too loose you will want to lengthen it (tightening the cable).

DO NOT overtighten...

These are all plastic... cheaply constructed... but EXPENSIVE to replace.

I have had to hand craft REPLACEMENT PARTS to repair these things (nothing is STANDARD (but the careless attitudes).

When you do break'em... AMAZON had the greatest selection...
(knowing the mounting diameter, and cable length is imperative
(sold in PAIRS)).

Brakes will not lock in parking position

There are adjusters on the brake cables that are designed to solve this problem. The cables for the brakes run inside a flexible housing. This same adjustment technique applies when you pull the handles down in the park position and when you squeeze them to slow down. Hope this helps.

The housing of my brakes on the handle bars is loose and keeps moving. how do i tighten it so that it stops moving when i apply pressure on it and/or squeeze the brake lever??

If the screw is all the way tight and still slipping ... try to find a fatter part of the handle bar to mount the grip to. You will probably will not find any such that is convenient for you to continue to use the brake ... remove the grip, wrap some electrical tape around the handle bar, reattach the grip. Tighten it and give it a try.

I hope this works for you

Brake assembly

If you loosen the wire that is connected to the gripping machanism first , you will have long enough wire to put it throu the brake grip first then tighten it back at the wheel gripping area.
