Hi, i have a NAD S300 and sometimes i hear an annoying noise from the right channel. I have done different tentatives and the problem regards only the right channel.Sometimes the right channel completely disappears. Unfortunatly is a problem that appears only sometimes so it's difficult to understand its origin. If you want and if it could be possible i can olso add an audio file with the recorded noise. Thanks in advance for helping me. Fabio

You may have some dirt/corrosion on the input selectors or other controls. Get a good commercial contact cleaner and spray all the controls. This is best done inside with the cover off rather than trying to squirt through the front plate. If that does not help (or change the sound) then you may have a bad solid-state component (transistor or IC) that will require some help. If things change but don't resolve, then dirt is the issue and you may need multiple treatments.

NAD C162 preamp quiescent noise level suddenly went up. Please help me diagnose?

If the noise is in both channels then you should look for something common to both channels. Capacitors are the likely cause, but some IC's might cause it. You say that the volume control doesn't effect it, if that is the pre-amp's volume control then the fault will be after that part.

Cracking noise nad c340

Sometimes you can find the faulty part by touching the parts inside the amp. Only touch the plastic parts not any metal parts! As it is on one channel you have a good channel to compare the bad. Often small transitors can become noisy so start with them!

No sound from left channel.

hi
first of all you can check either amp or pre is defect. for this change wiring left to right and right to left (pre to amp wiring). if still left channel has no sound the problemmaker is the amp. would be helpfull for further assistance if i know the model number.

NAD S300 Amplifer humming

You have either got a bad earth connection, or possibily there's a capacitor failed.
If you can't find a dodgy conection, I would replace the large Electrolytic Capacitors in the power section, they are used to take out 50hz hum in the mains electric, when they go you get that hum coming into your system.

Nad c270 buzzing in amp

The buzzing is coming from the transformer. It is almost expected of an amplifier of this size, that the transformer (a large one) will excite the resonance of the casework and make some noise.
