Hello, A while back I bought A Memorex DVD Writer. Well, I also owned a copy of Nero 6 with all the other software like wave editor, and others that came with the program. Well, when I went to install my Nero 7 Essentials it told me that I had to uninstall the other program before installing Nero 7. What I would like to know is this, can I install my Nero 6, 7, 8, on one machine since I bought all of them?

If it is just a writer then no but I have never heard of just a writer and mostly they are designated a reader/writer when they should be able to read whatever they are capable of writing - if the computer has the right software installed that is.

It could be you need to instal a suitable media player or dvd player software.

like this problems many reasons cause it :
the first one is the dvd data cable is bad try to use original one
the second reason is power supply some time there is a bad voltage
the third reason ram can make this problem

What software are you using to burn?
How big is the data you are burning?
Are you burning data, video (what format)?
What error did you get?

If the DVD-writer was factory-installed, then you can contact HP, and order a replacement CD that will contain the NERO and LightScribe software.
Cost will be under $20 for the CD, and about $20 for courier-delivery.

Or, instead of NERO, access http://www.MajorGeeks.com
and download "Ashampoo Burning Edition 6". It is _free_ software.
Version 9 of the software is better, but it's not free.

I don't have any substitutes for the LightScribe software.

Convert the CD or DVD Image into hard disk it will work surely

Sorry for my mistake ! Not neron I mean NERO. Nero is a PC software designed to BURN CD`S But it have some cool additonal tools. There is also Nero Wave Editor. I recomand you Nero 7 premium.

* change the cable of dvd

The file may be damaged or corrupted. this may be the case preventing the wave editor from opening the file. You should convert this format by using anuy other software like soudforge or some other software that can do this. That is the only possible solution that I can suggest. There is no plugin that support CCITT u-law (mono)
