Hi I have a C3485 all-in-one printer and I keep getting a error msg that it doesn't read the black ink cartridge

Black printer ink in HP Printer may fail to be recognized by the printer. Most times an error message will be sent indicating that something is wrong with the black print cartridge. Sometimes the printer may accept to print with the black ink, but the printouts may have horizontal lines and very illegible letters. In such a case a manual cleaning of the print head should be carried out. In doing the manual cleaning, one should spray Windex heavily on paper towel and wipe off the surface of the print head.

Keep getting error msg ink tank cannot be recognized after I replaced all ink cart

Hi

try removing/replacing all cartridges again - ONE AT A TIME. If that doesn't work, open the printer again and check which cartridge LED is not on. Replace the 'LED off' cartridge with a new one.

I can not clear an error msg saying " Check Ink

Hi!
Try to remove first the ink cartridges. Then, using a clothe moistened with alcohol, clean the contact surface of the cartridge where the terminals inside the printer touches. Then return back to its carrier the black and color cartridges. Restart the printer.

If error continue to appear. press and hold down the STOP/RESET button (the circle with inverted triangle button) Hold it down and wait until printer self restart before releasing it.

jusr solved this off an article. the *,#,123 thing only gets you a r0046 support answer no sytem configuration menu, so.........hit cancel the hold down canel, ok black and color buttons at teh same time, error message continues, keep holding all 4 and the power off with on botton, let sit for a few seconds, my have to restart a few times but maintenaince is done and volla-fit it. up your hp-let keep em honest. andy fecteau

New cartridge inserted, received error

Hi can try I found this I know your error not in here but it may work for It worth a try nothing to lose and it may work. I know your error code is not in this but it some times it clean the error with this type of error number you can gave it a go try not harm it Error code: 0xc18a0201, 0xc18a0206, 0xc18a0306, 0xc18a030a, 0xd0620130, 0x887dd03a, 0xd05d010d, 0xf0af8004, 0xc19ac3ff, 0xc18a050...

Reset the product:
1. Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.
2. Remove the cartridges from the product.
3. Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
5. Wait 60 seconds.
6. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button ( ).
7. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product.
8. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
9. Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the product, and then try printing again.

Left Cartidge incorrect

Hi, remvoe the black ink cartridge , dip the cartridge in luke warm water for 30 secs , clean the cartridge and unplug the power adapter from the printer , wait for a minute and then reconnect it back , put back the cartridge and then look for the error msg , if it stil displays the same error then its an issue with the cartridge and needs to be replaced..

Error check ink cartridge

Hi ,

As per the information provided by you it seems to be a hardware issue however u cvan try these steps .

Steps >

Take out the ink cartridges from the printer > without turning off the printer unplug the power cord > press # and 6 key together , now without releasing the keys plug in the power cord .

keep on holding the keys down until the machine turns off automatically .

after the unit turns on again it would do the allignment give a msg for insert ink cartridges . insert the cartridges at that time . and see how it works out .

Dell photo 924 ink cartridge problems

Hi ,
if you are getting the msg color cartridge missing , maku sure that it is compatible with your printer , on the cartridges you will get the part no M4646/J5566 , look for those part no's and if it is giving the error msg on the LCD display of the printer , try using the old cartridge ...try the following steps
1) put the old cartridge in and then unplug the power adapter (Black box ) from the printer.

2) wait for 30 seconds and put back the power adapter and turn on the printer, and look for the msg on the printer display. if it gives the same error msg with the old as well as the new color cartridge then its an issue with the printer , and if it does not gives the error msg with the older one then its an issue with the cartridge and if you have purchase the cartridge from dell online/phone then call them back give the order no of the cartridge that u have purchased and they will replace it.

I'm not even pulling up any info on that error msg.

Where are you reading the error msg from, within Windows? Or from the printer itself?
