I have a whirlpool gas dryer model#LG5801XKGO.

Whirlpools are great. There is a flame sensor near the igniter, it gets dusty and can't sense the flame. Carefully wipe it off, without bumping the igniter, it's super delicate. Sometimes the sensor can be removed for cleaning, just held in place by a little screw.

HI I HAVE A MAYTAG DRYER AND I HAVE CHANGED THE COILS AND THE THERMALFUSE AND STILL THE IGNITOR IS GLOWING BUT STILL NO FLAME ALSO BEFORE I CHANGED THE THERMAL FUSE I HAD A FLAME BUT NO HEAT IN THE DRUM...

Hello,
Is the igniter coming on,staying on for 30-45 seconds then goes off? or does it not go off at all?
i am going to assume that it does not go off.the problem when it never goes off followed by a flame is because the flame switch/also called the radient sensor is bad.
If that is what your experiencing replacing the flame switch will fix that dryer. The part# for that is 338906

Dryer runs ok. igniter glows and lights flame. Flame burns for about 30 seconds and goes out. After a while it does it again. Minimal drying being done.

The 'radiant sensor/ needs to be replaced. This sensor tells the system that the flame is lit and everything is good. Go to repairclinic.com
