Need to program a existing dish remote to a new dish receiver

Hi Gw, my name is Mike Houston a Social Media Representative at DISH. I understand you want to program your innvoage remote to our DISH receiver. When we send out our DISH receivers we will include our own DISH universal remotes that can control many different components like; HDTV, surround sound receivers and sound bars. We do not have the codes for other universal remotes to work with our system. What kind of receiver did you get? DirecTV, Dish, or something else? This remote comes with software and cables you can connect to your computer. Once you install it, and connect the device, you can program it to connect with your specific electronic components. You may need your existing/original remotes to help get everything set up, but usually that is a one-time process.

Is this a new remote or the existing one? I have provided instructions on how to program the remote to your TV and to readdress the remote to your receiver. Select the model of the receiver you have, click on the link and the just follow the directions. The bottom portion of the page has links for TV codes to program the remote to your TV. If this doesn't work, you may need a new remote. I hope this helps.

Your dish remote is the only one that is compatible with the dish receiver. You're going to have to program all the functions you want to use to the dish remote. They are usually set up for all the normal functions, volume, power, dvr etc.

Here is what I did for my Bose Solo Tv to work on the Bell 9242 receiver.( see page 17 of Bell 9242 guide) 1. Hold down the aux button until all lights flash. 2. Press 2 to ensure Aux is set to audio. 3.Enter code 761 and press the pound (#) button. Now to have the satellite remote default volume to Bose Solo do the following. 1.Press and hold AUX 2.press # pound 3. Press the + side of volume 4. Press 0 5. Press pound ( AUX button will flash 3 times) 6. Press SAT mode 7. Test the volume on Bose Solo. (see page 22 of Bell 9242 guide)

It sounds like you have interference, try removing the uhf ant from the back of rec and promgram it straight from there. you can also hookup "bunny ears or a pigtail coax to the uhf ant port to increse uhf signal. also make sure the uhf ant is standing straight up.

I have provided a link with instructions on how to program your remote to your TV. You will select your receiver from the list of instructions for the receivers. You will also need to select the link with the TV codes. You only need to follow the directions to get your remote to work on your TV. If this doesn't work, you may need a new remote. Your remote needs to be readdressed to the receiver if you are not able to change channels or bring up any of the receiver menus. Have you already replaced the batteries with new batteries? I have provided a link with instructions on how to readdress the remote to your receiver. Select the type receiver you have, which will open a PDF document with the instructions on how to readdress the remote to the receiver. If this doesn't resolve the issue, you may need a new remote. With the TV 2 remote, it needs to be a UHF type remote. Since the signal goes through solid objects (walls, etc.), you should check to see if this remote has that capability. I have provided codes you can try to program the remote to the receiver. I hope this helps.

dish network remotes are universal, you can program your receiver, vcr/dvd, telivision and stereo to most remotes. if you need info on this just post again, otherwise i would list your issue under the remote brand
