As it is new, take it back for replacement. If you bought in online, have it replaced as it may have been damaged in transit.
Don't bother to try and repair it, it is not right.

You can try Hisense, but really flat screens are getting pretty cheap. Try Craigslist, I got my LG 32" LCD for $300 and it's dam near brand new. Sometimes you can and will find good deals on there.

Can you let me know if you still have this remote control. Mine has buttons busted too but if you cant use yours...can I have it please for parts?
This Tv is not up to much by todays standards anyway and most people are just chucking them out now.
What will you do with yours I wonder?
