Is there a way to resetto factory default settings without losing data, contacts or saved sounds, pics??? my chocolat will sent and receive texts with all the selected sounds, but when a call is made, I cannot hear the ringtone of the person I am calling and when a call comes in, they cant hear me and I cant hear them....

Hi Dennis, your internet access has different settings to calls & texts so that is why you can have the others without Internet access! The settings for Internet on your phone has to come from your service provider..........Mobile network settings - set options for data roaming, network mode & operators, access point names (APNs) and so on! Contact your service provider and get the settings for your phone sent to it from them.....have they done this?

ASK YOUR TELECOM NETWORK PROVIDER TO SEND APN SETTINGS.

Try deleting the keyboard's data in Settings/Applications. If it still doesn't work, use another keyboard app, and if you can't stand losing your default keyboard, restore your system.

Soft Reset
To perform a soft reset, remove and re-insert the battery.

Master Reset
IMPORTANT: All configuration settings will be set back to their factory defaults. Personal data and downloaded content, however, will not be lost.

I had the same problem. It didn't happen with every text message, but with many of them. At first I would shut my phone off and then turn it back on and I would receive the texts that I had missed. Then I reset my phone "back to default" and that seemed to fix it permanently. To do so, enter the settings menu, go to the "more..." option, go into the security settings... you will need your 4 digit code to get in, if you haven't changed it then it should be the last 4 digits of your phone number. from there go into Erase/Reset, then "default settings. Don't hit "reset phone" or you'll lose all your data (ringers, games etc), This should work if it doesn't, then try hitting the "reset phone" option but beware you will lose your data AND your contacts so back them up somehow. Hope this helps...

Text messages? The voice mails are on a server, not the device. If you cannot delete the text messages try resetting defaults by doing the following:
Press Menu key and scroll to settings (toolbox icon) hit OK button
Scroll down to advanced; hit OK button
Scroll down to "Reset Defaults" and hit ok
Select "Reset Settings" and hit ok
VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT SELECT RESET ALL- THIS WILL DELETE ALL YOUR DATA INCLUDING YOUR CONTACTS
After selecting Reset Defaults enter security code 000000 and select ok then select yes

You will not lose any data or info stored on the phone. This will simply reset your settings to factory defaults so you will have to reset your wallpaper, ringtones etc...

i'm not sure how to change the default picture program... but i can tell you that you won't lose pictures if the easyshare program is deleted. it's just an extra program to view/edit pics.... the actual pics are located in a generic folder somewhere on your computer. click properties on one of the pics in easyshare, and see where it's located. then just go to that folder through windows....

these setting are normally supplied by the provider.
You will need to contact them again and ask them to send you the WAP and GPRS settings.
These will come as 2 separate txt messages.
open each message and the phone should promt you to save the message.
save each message.
then go to your browser settings and set your provider as the default or prefered setting.( this should get internet working )
for the pics you will need to send a pic to yourself first to activate the settings between the phone and the network
