I installed an HP printer C7280 wirelessly and for some reason, it doesn't stay installed, a day or two later when I go to print, I get an error that no printer is installed. I've totally uninstalled and re-installed a couple of times. Suggestions?

I have been told that HP printers have a built in program that will make printer fail after a set number of pages have printed, and if the NV Ram is reset this will reset the page count, page count resides in the transparent, image or drum kit. I dont know how to find this or reset page count but if anyone knows i would like to do this on my hp printer please any help.
run the wireless setup wizard on the printer from the front panel menus of the printer...this would assign an IP address to the printer from the router...then use the s/w cd that came along with the printer and get the drivers and s/w installed on your computer....if you want a wireless connection it would give you approprite options
There is a new driver from april 2009 on HPs site which adresses this problem. I installed it, and now everything works fine. You have to download and install it yourself, it doesn´t update automatically.
I am not an expert, only a c7280 user. I use my printer wirelessly and was having problem scanning when using the controls directly on the printer (scan menu). By trial and error, I tried scanning by going to HP solution center on my computer and just followed the directions from the scan menu. That worked. If you can print wirelessly, you can scan wirelessly. I agree the HP support is a huge waste of time. I only get mad talking to them.
