Basically, I can record video but I get no audio-am I doing something wrong? sony cybershot dsc-h20

Press the MENU button, select the toolbox icon, then select the third item on the menu.

Check your menus.
Look for sound on, sound off or some such option.
Most digital cameras have an internal option in the menus to turn off the sound.
Also there should be options to make various parts of the camera sounds to be louder or softer. these are usually for start, shutter button, and others.
Hope it works.

You should be able to transfer videos from the Camera to the computer without using any additional driver.
If you're able to transfer the still images and only the issue in transferring videos, you might be checking the wrong place for videos.
In the below picture show the folder structure. The folder listed under C represents the video folder. Please check the videos under that folders and it should resolve the issue. Please let me know if the Camera is not recognizing. Operating system information is required to give specific instructions.

Are these flash pictures? Are the spots in different places on each picture? If the answer to both questions is yes, the spots are dust particles in the air reflecting the flash back into the lens.

Have you made sure that the spekers are pluged in? if not, PLUG THEM IN! if they are, make sure the volume is ALL THE WAY UP. If its not, then TURN IT UP!!! if it is, then i have no idea. =) lol (sorry)

have you eset the camera to factory settings. procedure will be given in the instruction manual

Please reduce memory stick size as 8 GB is too much for it and 2 GB would be fine in DSC-T500

You can not feed or save direct video out put of TV in to camera to put it on youtube.com
You need to mount camera on tripod focusing TV screen and start recording to make movie clip to upload it to youtube.

You will get sound when you transfer recorded movie clips in your computer and playback in computer.
DSC-S500 Sony Cybershot has built-in mic to record sound but doesn't have speaker to give sound during playback in camera. You need to import movie files in your PC and playback in PC to hear sound.
