This is generally the case when the Horizontal Yoke Coil is defective.A defective Hor. Deflection Coil bad is very very rare. 9 cases out of 10 it is a dry / bad solder.If you are versed in Solid State Electronics, I advise you to Unplug the TV and carefully open the back panel. There will be a Coil mounted on the neck of the Picture tube. It will have 4 connections and there will be 4 wires leading from it to the Main PCB. Check these connections - both on the Coil and on the Main PCB. If these are OK, then call in a qualified Technician.Nothing more you can do.

If it was a toshiba supplied disk, then I should follow up with them with the failure, as it was their fix, that caused this problem, they should replace/repair this unit for you

I have the same projector, and had the SAME problem.
After unplugging and taking on a trip it didn't work...it just lit up for 2 secs, and then shut off....
LEAVE it plugged in for as long as it takes for the light to stop blinking, and then it should start up on its own, or if you press the on/standby buton.
Be patient, hope this works for you too!
