The correct way to program a remote is to hold the button down on the remote and then press and immediately release the learn button. If this doesn't work your logic board is bad.

Get my garage door opener to lose from the remote?

I had a similar problem, but it ended up being the LED lightbulbs put in the opener to replace the incandescent--the LED bulbs were interfering with the remote signal somehow.
But while troubleshooting, I did learn to reset / reprogram the remote: press the Learn button on the opener, then press and hold the button on your remote. The opener lights should blink. That should reprogram your remote.
If that doesn't work, you might have to erase the codes from the opener memory, I think you need to press and hold the Learn button until the lights blink. But you might want to search how to do it for your specific unit.

Sounds like your receiver has quit working. To program the remotes do this: Press and hold the button on the remote while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button. Do this for each remote. If this doesn't work your logic board is bad.

Try this method for programming. Press and hold the button down on the remote while you press and immediately release the learn button. Do this for each remote.

Have you replaced the battery in the keypad? Try this:

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to the keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and press enter.

Post back with your results.

Reprogramming remote openers after changing opening code.

If you have dip switches on the back of the opener then the ones in the remote have to match exactly to recode. If you have a learn button on the back of your unit you need to press the learn button and then press the button on the remote1-3 times depending on the brand of the unit. If this does not work try pressing and holding the learn button and then pressing the remote on the remote. The brand and model number would narrow things down greatly for an accurate answer. Thanks BB

Remote control unit does not open the door. we

Hi,
You can try reprogramming the remotes to the opener that is not working. Sometimes they get a brain freeze and drop the codes and reprogramming can fix it. Next to where the wire hangs down will be a colored square button (the learn button) press once and release, you have 30 seconds to try and program a remote, you don't need to do all in the 30 seconds. Press and hold the button on your remote that you want to use until you see the light on the opener blink or hear a click sound from opener, let go of the button. it should now be programmed. If you can't get any of them to work then the logic board is bad. This repair can cost as much as a new opener + install. Sears sells a "remote control conversion kit" it comes with 1 remote and a plug in receiver you attach to your existing opener. 2 wires come off it and hooks up where your wall control hooks up at the openr. It's pretty easy to install. FYI the remote controls are color coordinated meaning the buttons on the remotes have to be the same color or they won't work, so if existing remotes are not the same color as the one in the kit they will most likely have to be replaced. good luck!

I programmed 2 new remotes with no issue but, cannot get the remote keypad to reprogram (we just bought the home and don't know the existing code) the model for the garage door opener is Chamberlain...

Your keypad may be bad. If you press and immediately release the smart/learn button and then key in your 4 digit code and press enter the keypad should be working. Be sure you have a good battery. Actually the flashing of the keypad is indicating that it is sending the signal to the receiver. Holding the enter button in doesn't do anything extra.

Remote has stopped working

Its possible you held the learn button down too long, this will erase all remotes. The best way to fix this is to press the learn button once and the hold down the button on the remote until the lights blink, you will have to do this with all remotes.
hope this helps.
