Many dishwashers, due to their power consumption, are on their own house circuit. It may have blown the house fuse or circuit breaker. Ours does it about once every 6 months or so. I just reset the circuit breaker. I'm sure an electrician would tell me to replace the dishwasher or have it serviced to determine why it periodically blows the circuit, so if it has blown the circuit breaker, you should determine why before running it again (unlike me!).

Why bosch dishwasher will not turn on?

Suggestions: First, make sure it's plugged in.
Assuming it won't turn on when plugged in, First plug something else into it's plug or test it with a plug tester. The plug itself may be off or broken. Assuming the plug is OK, the next thing is to make sure it is unplugged and look for a fuse in the dishwasher. It should be located near where the plug goes in. You may need to remove a panel. Note that some dishwasher also wont turn on unless you have water hooked up.

My dishwasher wont start after the power outage. all the lights are working fuse box is checked also.

please follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

1. No power to the dishwasher
Make sure there's power getting to the dishwasher. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

2. Door switch
Replace if defective.

3. Timer or Control Electronic
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

4. Selector switch
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

My dishwasher won't start.

FIRST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE POWER TO THE DISHWASHER. IF IT HAS A LIGHTED PANEL AND ITS LIGHTED UP, YOU HAVE POWER. IF NOT LIGHTED UP WHEN TURNED ON, THEN YOU HAVE A POWER LOSS PROBLEM WITH A FUSE OR BREAKER OUT TO THE SUPPLY WIRE TO THE DISHWASHER. CHECK YOUR ELECTRICAL FUSE BOX OR FUSE THAT SAYS DISHWASHER IN THE ELECTRICAL BOX IN YOUR HOUSE. RE-SET THE BREAKER OR CHANGE THE FUSE. IF IT STILL DOSE NOT START UP THEN YOU MAY HAVE AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTION UNDER THE DISHWASHER THAT IS NOT CORRECT OR NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT BY AN ELECTRICIAN. DO NOT TRY TO CHECK THIS AREA UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUSE OR BREAKER OFF. THEN LOOK TO SEE IF YOU HAVE A LOOSE CONNECTION. RE-TIGHTEN THE LOSE CONNECTION FOUND, TURN ON THE FUSE OR BREAKER AGAIN, AND SEE IF THE LIGHTED PANEL LIGHTS UP. IF IT STILL DOSE NOT START UP, THEN NEXT CHECK THE DOOR TO MAKE SURE IT IS CLOSING ALL THE WAY, THERE IS A SWITCHON THE DOOR THE SENCES FULL CLOSED AND WON'T START UP IF THE SWITCH IS NOT CLOSING. IF THIS DOES NOT FIX IT THEN YOU WILL NEED TO CALL YOUR LOCAL DISHWASHER FIX IT MAN. DISHWASHER HAS A PROBLEM HE MUST FIX.

My dishwasher won't turn on

Hi,

Sorry to hear about your dishwasher problem. If the dishwasher will not turn on and you do not have any lights blinking or coming on the first thing to check is the circuit breaker in your home. Turn it off and back then retry the dishwasher. If that does not help make sure there is not a wall switch that controls the dishwasher that has been turned off.

If these are okay and you have power to the dishwasher the most common part to have failed is the thermal fuse, shown below with the part number, there is a diagram below that to show where the fuse goes in the console, it is part 6 in the diagram.

If you have flashing lights or some other symptom than just dead and wont start please let me know what you are experiencing so I can assist further.

I noticed the inside of the dishwasher was very hot. it had not been run in 2 days.

there must be a cycle malfunction or a short or some sort in the controls.... you'd have to take most of your dishwasher appart to fix this, but make sure to turn off the breaker/fuse to this apliance befor taking anything appart.... it would probably be best if you'd turn the breaker/fuse off untill you have this problem resolved... this probleme/malfuction may be a fire hazard!

Dishwasher wont turn on

The dishwasher is generally on a separate circuit so if that circuit breaker kicks, or that fuse blows you won't see anything else turned off. Go to you panel and check to see.. If it is a blown fuse, replace it with a new one of the same amperage. If it is a kicked circuit breaker turn the breaker all the way off and then back on.

Where is the thermal fuse for Kenmore 665 11073342 dishwasher?

The thermal fuse is located in the front control panel where the circuit board is. You need to remove 4 screws(depending on the type of dishwasher you have) and you will see it. Make sure you change everything not just the fuse but the new wires also.

Hope this fixes your problem
