Paper has jammed rinter - Brother HL 5170DN Laser Printer

Please try this approach:

1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.
2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.
3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also carefully turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.
4. If feeder is clear, place the printer on the table. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions in the paper path.
6. Close the printer cover.
7. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - the black box where the power cord is plugged into. Re-plug after 30 seconds.
8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again to verify that the problem is fixed.

i would clean it out make sure there are is no paper jams or dust in

There must be somewhere still a tiny piece of paper. To check if the tomer is also good without a piece of paper stuck, put in a new tomer and see if the light is fine then. also try not to overload the paper tray just a few papers there and make sure there is no paper open all doors to the printer top and side and look for that small piece that is stuck somewhere

you have a paper jam or a bad paper sensor. open the back/rear and look for ajam in the fuser. if no jam you have to call a rinter tech to find the bad sensor

Error E2 means paper Jam and is it a Canon printer ??

Make sure you open printer slot and take out the jammed paper, it there is one.

Retry and hope it works !!

one common problem faced (not by all )...with this printer model is  not able to feed the paper thro .
if u have sure the paper has been fed properly as instructed in the manual ., then , open the front cover of the p[rinter ., u should see the cartridges .,  

r the cartridges located in the centre ? 
if yes : then the machine is ffine ., 
if no : its carrier jam ., 

for  carrier jam : simply oull the carts to the centre and restart the printer .

again ., if u think that the printer keeps giving to probs ., call dell @ 18006249896 and check if it still in warranty ., and if so get a replacement .

power off the rinter.
then remove ink cartrdge thencheck there is not any paper jam.then refix again ink cartridge.let me know please.

There is always a way to get at the paper but it may mean taking apart some of the printer to access it. Best solution is to make sure paper is removed more carefully and it doesn't rip when you remove it.

If you have the old drum put it back in and see what happens to the copy. if is better, then yu may have a bad new drum. They do have them. Poor copy quality is normally drum or toner in these Brothers. This model is an excellent machine by the way.

Please select printers and see the properties and there will be a d efault paper size which may be lette A3 etc selecrt it to your desired paper size in the settings Ok.
