This can be caused by several problems including the transmission gear in the tape mechanism not engaging properly or a defective clutch in the take-up spool and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

I lost the disk to my pv-gs65 camcorder how can I get another one so i can use my usb connect?

This CD had a driver on to allow your camera to connect to a windows PC, however unless you have XP the chances of your camera driver CD working is less that 5%, you need to pop into Ebay, type what you need in search bar, and who know you could be lucky.

I have a Panasonic PV-GS14 and it ALWAYS says 'Push Reset Button'

I had the same problem. In desperation, I picked up my trusty can of compressed air and aimed a few shots into the recorder/playback mechanism. Worked like charm.

Upload content from PV-GS65 to LAPTOP

there should be a usb port on the camera. below the mic in, under the flap to the right of the on/off.
should be able to get this cable at any office supply/ camera store.

Push the reset button

let the camera sit alone for About 20 min,so that the camcorder automatically turned off. I turned it off, then back on and did not receive the reset button prompt.
if that doesn't work unplug the battery and all power and plug back in.

Push the reset button

This error indicates a cassette mechanism malfunction.
It happens usually when you don't operate the camecorder for long time
leaving the cassette inside and the battery attached.
Solution:
1. Open the cassette housing and nock GENTLY with your finger tip
on the cassette cabinet (particularly on the position marked "push") until
the cassette is released.
2. Push on the right place (marked "push") to close and then close the
cassette housing
3. Operate the cassette (play, fast forward/backward).
Repeat the above steps several times until the problem is gone.
Advise: Remove the battery and cassette when leaving the camecorder
for long period without being operated, and store the camcorder in a
dust/humidity protected place.
Hope this can help.
