I've had a rca model l32hd31yx12 and recently began to get white vertical lines after a minute they fade but certain screen changes like volume adjustments and the lines come back and fade again same thing when playing xbox 360 white lines and screen flashes and stays for minute or 2 any possible solutions would be helpful !
bought tv new three years ago for 350 $ at walmart would it be cheaper to buy new or repair ?

Sounds like the power supply has filtering issues, in other words bad capacitors. its best to have a tv shop take a look at it. they shouldn't charge you. good luck

The main board and the power supply is bad for your TV and it would be more easier to buy a new TV than to try and fix the current TV that you have and that our TV could of had died on you.

Well i think we have the same problem i with our proscreen 4700 and the only thing i found out so far is that the rca and svideo jack on the projector have gone bad. Tried the data connector and the video was perfect. Tested the rca jack with new cables and another dvd player and it was still mesed up. So it is the hardware that controls the input for the rca and s vidoe jacks but still have not found a way to get the case open to see if some thing can be fixed from the inside.
