I dont know how to hookup my monitor to the tower

Your computer Is on with green lite, monitor, hookup, card problems? U dont give enough info? Try with different monitor. Also diff. Computer

Your new moniter may not be compatible with your computer. I have an Emachines that won't take a flat screen. I have to use a big bulky moniter because it says not connected even thought the hookup fits the back of the tower. That might be your problem. Did your old moniter work correctly?

You have the standard data cable that attaches to the back of the computer (it's built in to the monitor), then you have your power cord. It is removable.

One is for DVI (Digital Video), another on is VGA (analog).
What kind of connector do you have on your computer video card?

Clean up your Monitor Connection and it's Multi Pin Plug in as well. It is best if you were to purchase a Can of compressed air to clean your computer in any form not a brush!!! I blow all my PCs out once a Month. I have 4 cans on hand right now!! You should not have any problem in doing this. The only other thing is that you have a bad connection for your Monitor on your Tower. Not Likely though. Just look and make sure that non of the Pins are broken or bent. Please Let Me Know!!!! make sure you have the green wire not in ear phone or speaker plug,and verify the speaker A?C plug is pluged in

right click on desktop select properties(screen saver ) select monitor button in that select turn monitor never.(configure carefully)

Initially, pls check the Master/Slave jumpers. Additionally, pls check that the IDE flat cable is connected right.

Power and unplug the monitor and tower. Reseat the monitor plug in to the tower and tighten down.Plug in power cords for both tower and monitor.Reboot computer! If this does not work possible video card failure. [email protected] (good question)
