Question about Creative Labs ZEN Vision:M Digital Media Player

Song skipping good day! i have a problem with my creative zen vision m, whenever i'm on a particular album in my playlist whenever i make a quick press to the right or left to skip or go back to a certain track it's skipping several tracks while i only intend to skip or go back one track at a time like for example im listening track 1 from a particular album and want to skip the track 2 it's quite irritating that it goes to track 4 or 5 or 9 instead of going to track 3. Be noted that the cd where i ripped the songs from is fine, no problem whatsoever when it comes to skipping problem whenever im using it to other cd player. hope somebody can help me what to do.. thanks...

Have you registered you plaey with Creative. There is a good knowledge base on the Creative web -site Support where I got some good asnwers.

My Creative Zen 4gb will not appear in Itunes ?

Hello,

To convert iTunes music for Creative ZEN, you shall download TunePat audio converter from a website. You shall run TunePat audio converter and iTunes simultaneously and set TunePat as the default burning drive for iTunes. You may also create an iTunes playlist to hold the songs you want to convert for Creative ZEN.
Once the conversion is completed, you can find the MP3 or WMA songs in the output folder, with all ID3 tags and album information intact. Then you can open Creative MediaSource and sync the converted to your Creative ZEN player.

Changing file names and creating playlists

Changing the filename won't change to artist, title, album ext... The easiest way I know of to change this is with MediaMonkey, a free media player. Click the link and install and open Mediamonkey. Find your MP3 player on the left side to browse the music. Highlight the music that you want to change the artist for in your MP3 player, right click>Properties.
You can also create playlists with MediaMonkey.

Can't create playlists on my zen x fi

I tried some suggestions posted here, and after some testing, I can now give you step-by-step instructions to create a playlist on your Creative Zen.

First, you need to think of the NOW PLAYING list as the "selected songs to be added to a playlist".

So, to start clean, let's empty out the NOW PLAYING list as follows:
1) from the MUSIC menu, select NOW PLAYING
2) when a song is shown on-screen, click the context menu
3) select REMOVE ...
4) select REMOVE ALL
Now, the NOW PLAYING list is empty.

Now, you need to select (mark) the songs you want to add to your new playlist:
1) go to an individual song
2) click the context menu, and select ADD TO SELECTED
3) go to another desired song, and do step 2) again
4) repeat until done

Now, to create a NEW playlist, go to the MUSIC menu, then:
1) select NOW PLAYING
2) it will show you the first song that you selected
3) press the Right button, to scroll through all of the other songs you selected
4) when any song is shown on-screen, click the context menu
5) select SAVE AS PLAYLIST (this refers to ALL songs in your NOW PLAYING list)
6) type the name for your new playlist, and click checkmark
ALL of the songs in the NOW PLAYING list are now saved as your New playlist.

From the MUSIC menu, select PLAYLISTS. You will see the name of the playlist that you just created. When you select that playlist, you will see the list of songs you had selected.

Please note that these songs are still in your NOW PLAYING list also. To create a another New playlist, you will first need to empty out the NOW PLAYING list as you did above.

Unable to save playlist on Creative Zen Vision: M

You can see if you can rollback to the previous firmware -usually you can't - check the forums on Creative forums - plenty of people have this problem- no solutions that i can see

Mp3 files edit

Delete the song with the bad info from the player (not from the computer)
Open Windows Media Player
Right click on the song you want to move
Edit the ID3 tag - Advance Id3 Tag Editor
Change the Album info
Re-add the song to the mp3 player
You cannot edit from the mp3 player itself - you must make the changes inside windows media player, and THEN re-add

Creative ZEN players do not currently support album art from Rhapsody version 4.0.
Album art is either embedded in a track, or exists as a thumbnail image in a separate file, allowing one album art file to be associated with an album. Currently, Rhapsody only supports album art embedded in the track. Future versions of Rhapsody are expected to support thumbnail versions.
Creative Media Explorer or Windows Media Player 10 or 11 can be used to transfer music purchased from Rhapsody to a player with album art included.

Album Art is supported by Creative ZEN, Creative ZEN V Plus, ZEN V, Vision:M and ZEN Vision players.
The ZEN Vision (PF1150) requires a firmware update for Album Art. You can download the updated firmware:
If you experience any difficulty transferring Album Art with Windows Media Player 10 or 11, to ZEN Vision:M, delete WMPInfo.xml (see below), and then transfer the tracks again.

Removing random play setup

try menu then system.
i think that it is in there. I would go further, but am afraid it will do it to me. I too had that same problem. Good Luck

go back all the way in the menu till you get to the begining and select music library, then go back to play mode and select normal
