Clean the contact in the housing area and on the ink cartriage. If that does not work buy a new cartriage. The ink probably dried up in the nozzles. You can place the ink cartriage on a wet paper towel water or alcohal and press the cartriage into the towel. If you see no ing replace.
unplug your printer and reinstall the drivers. Your printer is sending data to your computer saying that you are still out of black ink. By rebooting and also re installing your drivers it will reset its self. Or you can pull your color ink and see if it reconizes the black with out it. There also may be a problem with your black shuttle depending how long you were with out black ink it could of dried the surface that helps extrude ink from the bottom of the ink cartriage. I have found never let a ink cartriage ever run completely dry before you buy a new one.. A little wastefull maybe but it can save you in the long run.
