My Rca #TH1702-A won't connect when I plug it into the usb port.

Go to here: and download either of the Firmware Updates/Restore Utility and run it on your PC while your 1702 is connected via USB.

Mine wouldn't connect and would tell me it was too full (even though I had plenty of space) and would shut down. I ran this utility, and it reinstalled the firmware and formatted the device, now it works perfectly.

My TH1702 will not give me the option to transfer music from the computer to the player. The easyrip menu says to connect the player, but it already is connected to the computer.

I have found the easiest way to get music to my player is to treat it like a removable harddisk or regular thumbdrive. After you have the mp3 files ready that you wish to copy to the TH1702, plug the unit into your computer's usb port and it will show up as removable storage. Navigate your explorer or finder window to it and copy the mp3 folders over.

I hope that helps.

I have a Dell inspiron 6000 and i cant down songs or anything

The songs may be in the wrong format - only transfer pure mp3 format songs to the player.

Read your user's manual.

If you have Windows Vista, you will need to upgrade the player's firmware to get it to work properly.
