You can set the Game mode and External input mode at the same time by pressing the GAME button on the remote control. "GAME" appears on the TV screen. To exit the the Game mode and the external input mode, press the GAME button on the remote control again. To cancel GAME mode only, adjust the PICTURE control. The game mode will be set ot 'OFF" automatically. In this case "VIDEO" instead of "GAME" appeares on the TV screen. When you press the GAME button if the TV is off, the TV turns ON and will be in the GAME mode and external input mode automatically.

Fairly easy and resourceful fix for this. Spent the past hour on the net looking, and no one had any info. So, we post here!
Our remote was lost, and were in the same unable to use the input port situation on our Durabrand BH1304D. Tried 3 universal remotes with no luck. However--- we are back in business now, Houston!
My fix-- grab a DirectTV remote (we had a white one-- RC 32 is the model). It's compatible with this 13" Durabrand TV, and most people a neighbor probably have one!
To program it to the TV (at least in our case), you have to slide the top switch to TV, then hold and press MUTE and SELECT until the green light flashes twice under the TV switch. Then press numbers 11034 and the light should flash twice again. Ta-da! Should be in business. We were!
The input button also worked as is, no need for the other step listed in the remote manual. But if your TV is changing channels and volume, but no input button, quick easy fix there too apparently. Didn't have to use it, but the input button can be activated or deactivated as needed. Simply hld SELECT and MUTE down again, the hit 960 on the keypad. That should be the activate/deactivate code per the manual.
Hope this helps someone, as the durabrand remote situation stinks, but thanks to the power of internet and users like us, there's now a solution in your reach! :)

no there isnt u have to get a new remote. The GE remote is cheap and the code is 0157. its the only code for that remote that works properly
