HI, Do one thing While PS3 is in standby mode press and hold the power button on the frond panel of PS3 for 30 seconds (factory reset). After doing this you will get video from its composite video.
Also check the hdmi If you didnt get the video through HDMI then, PS3 out puts Full HD 1080P video through its HDMI out put. IF your tv doesn't support Full HD then it will display format not supported or Software not support. If you want to get video through HDMI then do the following. Connect the PS3 to any Full HD tv (friends or relatives) and go to its menu ,select HDMI settings. then down scale the video from 1080p to 1080i. After that connect the PS3 to your tv you will surely get the video. Ajin
Connect your PS3 to your tv using a normal AV cable.
Check some Display settings like 720p or 1080p.
I've your TV is 720p, 1080p probably wont work.
I'm not sure of this all, but its worth a shot.
So I had this same problem. I found that when I hooked to a 1080p TV my PS3 was working, however when I hooked to my 1080i it said Not Supported Mode. So I then hooked to the 1080p and told my PS3 to limit it's self to 1080i mode and hooked it to my Samsung TV and it worked just fine. Give that a try and it should solve the problem. Hope this helps.
this probably is ps3 layout config, try to check the ps3 specifications on hdmi output, 1st check for good hdmi cable, normaly cheaper hdmi cables, has low bandwith, so lower resolution on tv.
2nd try on another tv the same ps3, and same cable, then try another cable, check for quality/resolution.
3rd check for flat TV for specifications on HDMI cables, and resolutions supported( Samsung Website)
you have to re sync your playstation when you go from HDMI to regular wires.
after you connect ps3 to tv. hold down the power buttondown on the ps3 for like 5 seconds (1 beep then another ),
after you hear a second beep the ps3 automoatically adjusts itself to whatever it's connected to.
check your owners manual tv. my tv has 3 hdmi input.your tv manual will tell you which one to use. make sure you select the correct resolution. 1080p/720/480 etc. oh...make sure you have hdmi cables too
