I just purchased a Sakar TR-4 Floating head tripod. Once I got it home I discovered that the "Floor" or "camera mount" (the piece that screws into the cameria and also fatst latches to the tripod) was missing. can you direct me as to how I might get it replaced?

the giottos 6E01 quick release plate will fit snug. i bought one for my miranda tp20 today. you can get them from harrison cameras or warehouse express.

It's called a Quick Release Plate and they come in different sizes and shapes. V-2400GX is an older model made by Vivitar right? A Vivitar QB-4w Quick Release is the closest replacement available I do believe. QR-3 and QR-2 are rare as far as I know, you might find one in a resale shop someplace. I hope this helps!
