Hi miracles4all: I solved HDMI signal issue in my Optoma HD20. In my case it was the lack of contact between the HDMI cable plug male ending and the Optoma HD20 HDMI female port. My 35ft cable plug male HDMI ending was not completely "seating" in the Optoma HD20 HDMI female port. I solved the problem by purchasing a HDMI female to female coupler and adding a 3ft HDMI cable that had a slim male ending. This 3ft HDMI extension cable made better contact to the Optoma HDMI port and the projector was immediately able to detect HDMI signal. Hope this helps you... kaufmanekpr

I connected up vga and HDMI cables and power, etc to ASUS desktop. All inputs are without signal. If I set monitor for vga, it says no vga signal. Same if set for HDMI input: no HDMI signal.

I would check your source for why it is not sending signal rather than why the monitor is not receiving. Of course, that being said, is this a new monitor or an old one that could be shot?

Bought a new GA-G41M-Combo but no video signal? It shows that HDMI: No Signal.

You need to try VGA/DVI connector before HDMI. Only after the correct configuration applied to start from HDMI should solve the problem.

Hi hassy786,

Regarding your question if you will use a converter from VGA to HDMI will it provid High Defenition video?

I believe that it will provdie video converting the signal from VGA to an HDMI connection but I do not think that the video will be High Definition since the VGA is just being converted to HDMI signal and not an actual HDMI but just a converted signal, and it is possible that it may not work properly or the LCD TV may have difficulties recognizing the signal from VGA converted to HDMI.

I have an optoma HD20 and it connects using a 1.5m HDMI but as soon as i try a 10m HDMI connection (even with a booster it does not connect) any suggestions welcomed?

Hi kgomer782 I have similar issue. My optoma hd20 signal connection with a 3/6ft hdmi cable is perfect. However, no signal is detected when connected to a 35ft hdmi 1.4 cable. The 35ft cable is indeed working becuase I tested it succesfully when connected to a 1080p HDTV. Did you received any solution to your problem? I wonder if it has anything to do with the HD20 design of the "debossed" hdmi ports that prevents the cable plug from getting completely "seated" in the port? My 35ft cable has a flat square male ending however, the 3/6ft cables have slim male ending that seems to accomodate perfectly in the Optoma's hdmi port design...kaufmanekpr
