Try to press FN+ESC button to turn on the camera if it doesn't work then uninstall the Lenovo EasyCamera driver and the Easy Capture in the Control Panel/Uninstall Program. Then Download the lenovo easycamera driver in this link: http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/DriversDownloads/drivers_show_895.html and then install it. After that download also the Easy Capture this is the link:http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/DriversDownloads/drivers_show_934.html and then install it.

Actually my laptops webcam is not working it showing close the other programms which r running there is no programms are running laptop model lenevo 3000 y 500
First, Check the serial nos of lenovo 3000 y 500 then Operating System if its Vista , XP or Windows 7 . 32 or 64 bit..
The camera driver for this laptop is no longer in the support site. there are two left the Y 310 and y410 -Try to download and run Lenovo Easy Camera Driver and the software EasyCapture. -Rebooting the computer. -Set up the Easy Capture and test it. -You can download skype or yahoomessenger to test the program too.

I want install the web cam software for lenovo 3000-y410 model

Installing the software for your Lenovo 3000 Y410's web cam is easy. You can do it on your own in less than 5 minutes and I can help you with that. Just simply follow the steps below:

  • Go to this link to get the software directly from Lenovo's website.
  • You'll be directed on a page where you can see all the drivers and software for your Lenovo 3000 Y410. Kindly look for Software.
  • Underneath you'll see the web cam software for Y410 specifically for Windows Vista 32bit Operating System.
  • The name of the software is EasyCapture, kindly click on that.
  • Afterwards, click on download here.
  • Wait until the donwload is complete, install EasyCapture.
  • When the installation is complete you'll need to restart your computer.
Before launching the software for your web cam just make sure that camera is enabled so press Fn + Esc. An icon of a camera will appear on the lower right side of your screen, if the one that appeared has a slash at middle of the camera it means camera was disabled so make sure to press Fn + Esc once again.

PROBLEM----The camera just stopped working, when you try to start Lenovo Easy capture you get the message "Camera initialization failed. Lenovo Easycapture closed."

SOLUTION--Press the Fn+Esc to re-enable the camera(thats hold function and press the Escape).
