Ok that tells me something is wrong with the source of the video and sound then. What is the source you are trying to play? Is it coming from a cable / satellite box? For example can you get a DVD to play just fine on the TV? That would be a different source...
Thanks please let me know, just reply to my answer here and I can help you out.

It sounds like it is a problem with the cable box and attaching a DVD / VCR would confirm this. If it works fine with an other device attached you can be sure that the actual cable box is the root of the problem. Otherwise it will be very tough to diagnose. You would also not get a snowy picture if the cable box is "bad" so that still is my main suspect. Since everything else seems to be working with a problem I think it is the actual box... Maybe you can borrow a DVD player / VCR from a friend just to test with real quick?
Thanks, please let me know what you find,
Tim

I have never had a vcr or dvd player connected to it, always a cable company or a dish company, it was connected to a cable company when this happened, it was working fine i turned it off to go to bed for tj\he night the next morning i had nothing (picture or sound) so i disconnected the cable and tried it at least try and get a snowy screen, but still the same.
Do i need to try it with a dvd or vcr player connected?
