My heater is a.pro 155 it worked fine all last year but I got it out of my storage area for use this winter. It will start an run for about 15 seconds and trips the reset on the unit. What would make this happen. - don't know if it matters but this unit is several years old I'm gonna guess at least ten years old.

First, locate the true model of the heater. Pro 155 only designates a series of heaters. It does not designate the actual model or technology used.

The reset (Safety Device) is the system's safety shut off. If everything is in perfect operating form the photocell looks into the chamber for a flame. If the flame goes out (flame-out), the the photocell sends a signal to the reset and the heater shuts down.

You must troubleshoot to find out whether your problem is a fuel delivery problem or an electronics problem.

My first look would be to look into the eye of the photocell for an insect or nest of some sort. Next check the fuel tank for water or debris that may be restricting the fuel flow and causing a flame-out.

Kerosene Space Heater Tip

I have repaired many kerosene space heaters in the past. The number one problem that I see is everyone expects the heater to just come on every winter when they plug it up. But usually it does not. It's been sitting in storage collecting dust. And then you hear them say "It worked fine last year". If everyone would just do this at the end of each winter and you are ready to store your heater, (Drain the fuel & clean your tank out). Check your filters and replace if needed. It is that simple. When you need it, do not put the same fuel that you have in a can or barrel (from last year) in the heater. Discard the old fuel properly & just purchase some fresh fuel and start off fresh. If you use the old fuel that was left in the heater or can/barrel, you are just looking for trouble. If you fire the heater off with the old fuel, you are just filling the heater with problems. Water is the problem. The fuel tanks/cans, ect. sweat during the hot months and it all settles in the bottom. Inspect your fuel before using it. Look for water/trash that has settled in the bottom. Discard as needed. You will be nice and warm instead of having heater problems when your freezing & needing heat. Just remember "start off fresh".

Chain saw won't start

Check the fuel filter for plugging (which is common when fuel is left in the machine over winter storage). You should run the carburetor dry after emptying the fuel tank for storage.Hope this helps!

150,000 BTU propane Reddy Heater shuts off after ignition

Is there a frost line on your LP tank, if so you may need to replace the tank with a larger tank or refill your tank. This can happen if the tank your using is too low or too small (use 100 lb tank or greater). If there is no frost line it may be an issue with the thermocouple. The manufacturer offers a service manual and owner's manuals on there site. This should assist you... www.desatech.com Thank you

Ama SG 155 102

www.ama.it then go to whatever country/region you're from (although at time of writing this the US links were working best). Then select your mower. Note however that there were different models of the SG 155/102 in the years 2004, 05 and 06. Very good mower however one unusual quirk is with the battery during first start up after winter break! Although engine will turn and all sounds good it will not start as the battery needs to be fully fully fully charged! But don't dispair just jump start it with a battery charger or off your car. After this it should be fine for the cutting season! Battery generally needs to be replaced every 3 years or thereabouts.

Pro 155 kerosi ne heater

Check your fuel and air lines for leaks, typically it's the CAD flame sensor but if you have already replaced it try checking the high heat limit switch. It looks like a thick watch battery just behind the combustion chamber, take it off and hold a lighter under it. If it's working properly you should hear a faint click when it shuts off, no click then it's bad.
