My TV shows doubles of everything as the picture gets close to the four corners. The picture in the center is great, just gets worse and doubled at the edges. Any ideas what this could be?

Double picture can happen for two reasons. Is it double on TV/Cable or double on all inputs. If it is the TV, try a different input. If it is double on everything you tv is defective and/or broken.

maybe parts inside is worn out. causing the blurrines. just consult to your service center.

bulb is going out. go back to where you bought it to see if warranty will cover it. if not, buy another bulb. ours was like, 40 bucks.

Your TV is ONLY 7 years old, it's only half way through it's life. It will cost about $550.00 depending area. Repair Convergence Circuit FOR .5k or buy new TV for 1.2 k? I would get TV fixed. Green glow and double picture? Sounds like you may own a Phillips/Magnavox. If you do the TV has an convergence problem and a picture tube fluid problem.
I would say that you should call an Authorized Service Center to come to your home and give an estimate before any service is rendered.

You need to replace both convergence ICs they are both STK392-120 and you will also need four 6.8 ohm 1 watt metal film resistors. You can get the ICs and resistors at the following link and they will provide free instalation instructions with pictures so you can do the repair yourself. Here is the link.

On the middle circuit board towards rear is a metal wavy plate.On the back side(actually towards screen when looking from rear of unit),the middle screw has a ground wire(light brown) that is loose.

Goto menu and look for convergence control and realign colors.
