The red and green led display keeps on blinking and the message on my screen are "my printer doesnt operate but the green and ed light keeps on blinking. Trouble shooter said that parts inside of my printer are at the end of its service life"
If both lights are flashing, it means the Waste Ink Pads in your printer are saturated with ink and the waste ink ("protection") counter has exceeded its limit. The Waste Ink Pads should be replaced as soon as possible. You can overcome this problem temporarily by using the SSC utility - download from
http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml
and reset the Protection Counter. This will stop the lights flashing and restore normal operation. However, remember that eventually ink will overflow from the waste ink area and make a dreadful mess, so you must change the waste ink pads before this happens. This requires the disassembly of the printer. A copy of the service manual is available from a number of sellers - just Google "Epson C45 Service Manual". You will often find them
for sale very cheaply on E-Bay.

if its the "parts are at end of service error" it usuallymeans ink pads are full but don't replace the ink pads install a external waste ink tank instead, then reset the printer using reset program . . search on eBay for epson waste ink tank, search ebay for "Epson Waste Ink Tank" it comes with reset program.

I had this flashing light problem and it was ok after I changed the flex ribbon cable connection from drive section (on the left side)to the moving print head.
