Question about Proview PL926WBi 19" LCD Monitor
Plz change resolution or refresh rate in desktop properties.

sv007p, Uh, yeah, I could, but I'm probably too far away. I've repaired 3 with same symptoms as yours has. At least you read about the flashlight diagnostic trick!! It' not completely DEAD, YET! Leave it off for now. It will not get better by itself. If the last time you were using the monitor, like say a week ago, and it still had a "clear, sharp,bright" screen then there is hope. What has happened is that the INVERTER circuit that provides 800-1300v to light-up the horizontally hung Cold-Cathode-Fluorescent-Tubes has failed, or the Switch-Mode-Power-Supply has a degraded 12-20v dc output. Without some basic soldering tools, solder, meter, parts source, you will not be capable of effecting a repair on your own. If you do or don't meet the criteria above, get back to me and I'll tell you other options that are open to you as a consumer. I'm louie12fix on fixya or [email protected] aol.com BYE for now.
