To set AM/PM (12 hour) or Military (24 hour) time - With the system off, hold
down Alarm Setup and press On/Off to switch between AM/PM (12 hour) and you're done .
Yes you have a defective laser assembly. The 139 is a great price as buying the laser lens alone will cost you around 70 .Bose will also upgrade with any new software and will also provide you with a 1 yr warrenty.
hmmm it seems the output chip isnt getting stable voltage to keep itself running so it keeps turning itself off and trying to protect itself from damage when the voltage keeps dropping
Bose will not release their schematics or parts lists, effectively giving them a monopoly on repair of these sets. There is, however, a line fuse on a circuit board inside the radio. CAUTION:
disconnect the set from its power source before you open it up or start
poking around inside it. If you're lucky, all you will need is a
simple fuse replacement. The sets are, however, notorious for
"blowing" power transformers. If the fuse is not the problem, you
will likely need to send the set to Bose for repair. On their web
site, www.bose.com, they offer to repair most Wave sets for $100 or
give $200 credit towards the purchase of a new Wave. Before you spend
the big bucks though, you might want to check out the new HD radios.
Better sound and MUCH lower prices than the Bose.
