If your phone displays the 'SIM unlock code' then your phone is currently locked to particular network. You need to unlock to use it with other network.
There can be many ways to Unlock your phone. As far as i know unlocking by codes is the simple and safe way. I will suggest the website Unlock-zone.com which is doing good service and they were recommended highly in the cell phone forums.
I used them to unlock my cell phone. contacted them and within 30 mins i had my unlock code and my phone was unlocked.
Hope this helps.

Have LG900G tracfrone want to switch it to ATT have new sim from ATT phone reads Sim Lock Code-1 ? ATT rep says phone needs to be unlocked?

Hello, you can't simple change your old sim card with new sim card from another mobile provider without unlocking your phone first. You can request LG 900G unlock code from tracfrone and you must pay some bucks (up to $80) and wait for a couple of weeks before you get that unlock code. If you on tight budget or you want to saving up your money, you can buy lg unlock code from third party sites and you don't need to wait until a couple weeks to get that code. Just in a few minutes.

Hi,
If you are trying to use a SIM card in your phone and getting a message like "Enter Subsidy Code", "Incorrect SIM Card", "SIM not provisioned" or similar messages, then you need an unlock code for your mobile phone.
You can get HTC Aria Unlock Code from the network provider, they will verify the account holder information. You may check this HTC Unlock Code site, they will provide you an accurate code fast with easy to follow instructions on how to unlock your phone. Once your phone is unlock, it will work with any network worldwide without sticking to one network.
Hope this is helpful.
Thanks.

Important: Stop if you receive an error message. The device may lock permanently if you enter the incorrect code multiple times.
  1. See if your phone is eligible to unlock: Mobile Wireless Device Unlocking.
  2. Contact Customer Care to request the Mobile Device Unlock code for your phone.
  3. Verify the IMEI by typing *#06#.
  4. Insert a Non-T-Mobile SIM & turn the phone on.
  5. The phone will automatically prompt you to enter the code into an empty field.
  6. Click/Tap in the empty field above the "Unlock & Dismiss" options (this will display a key pad on the screen).
  7. Input the unlock code provided by T-Mobile.
  8. Click/Tap Unlock.

I purchased a sim card from tmobile to replace my att simcard on my samsung SGH-A707.The new sim card won't work,it sy's incorrect sim and networt lock.

Hello

The sim wont work because it is locked to the att network which means it will only work with att sim cards.

You will have to unlock the phone from the att network before it can work with the T mobile sim card

You should contact your network provider so as to get steps to unlocking your phone from the att network or you should contact a repairer to help you unlock it

Putting existing tmobile sim in atat pantech c740 phone says sim locked

ATT phones are locked to only work with ATT sim cards. You can call ATT for the subsidy unlock code, but since it sounds like you don't have service with them, they might not give it to you.
The other option is to do an online search for the subsidy unlock code your that model phone; there are sites that will give you the code for a fee.

How can tell if mt ATT Tilt is unlocked?

Samsung never made a phone with the model of Tilt but HTC did however come out with a phone called HTC 8925 Tilt. If it is unlocked you will be able to place any sim card from any provider in the phone and it will be able to make and recieve calls. However if it is not an ATT sim card it will not be able to access the Internet or Picture messaging unless you set it up. There are a few sites out there that offer unlock codes based upon your phone model and IMEI but none are free for this type of phone.
