This could be because of 2 things....
first, the on/off switch may have been accidentally hit and is forcing the machine to stay on at all times.
Second, the relay in the unit may be defective and stuck in the on position. Less than 5 years should be under warranty. The easy way to tell if it is this problem tho is to unplug one of the low voltage wires from the side of the unit. These are usually located near the power cord going into the machine. If the machine stays running it is the Relay. However if the machine shuts off, the wiring in the vac system may be crossed out somewhere causing the machine to stay on.
