Kenmore ice maker model number 25374879401. ice maker stop working. can i order the new ice maker?

If you are getting water through your door doesn't mean it's going to your icemaker it has a separate valve would replace the water valve

Thanks for the model number. If the ice slots inside the ice maker are empty try pouring tap water in and allow the water to freeze. If after the water freezes the ice drops into the ice bucket and the ice maker does not refill this would indicate that the side of the=> W10408179 Water Inlet Valve is defective on the side that controls ice maker water supply. If the ice maker just sits there and does nothing this would point to a defective ice maker. Depending what is wrong with the ice maker will determine what parts are replaced. The control module has failed on the ice maker. You can replace the control module alone, but I would replace the ice maker completely.

Ice makers do go bad and it is inevitable. Check the ice maker connection and make sure that all is in order. If all seems okay and the ice maker does not work, replace it.

Try putting ice inside instead. if the machine gives you water then it's converting in reverse order.& still working. put the machine upright & youi'll get ice...

ck the back of freezer for ice build up there should be no ice . if so the defrost heater has failed or the drain is pluged . . thes units often need drain heater's to prevent the problem .. mm
