Sony kdf-42we655 has pink spot issue. tore down and cleaned. now have a convergence problem with the blue. are there any service codes to adjust the convergence on this set?
I also have a convergence probleem. All faces have mostly green stripes following the lines of faces and hair, etc. Nobody can tell me how to adjust it myself. Might have to take the plasma screen to the Sony repair shop. Will cost a pretty penny I suppose. Anybody out there has an easy DIY solution?

You have a defective optical block. Contact Sony support and have your model and serial numbers handy. Sometimes they will warratny these even after the 1yr warranty has expired.
This TV has a known problem with the optical Block. Please call Sony Customer Relation and ***** them until they send someone to replace the optical block
The dust is on the lcd located inside the optical block. It requires quite an extensive tear down and if you're not at the minimum a CET don't attempt this one yourself... Most shops won't even do this cleaning in the home and any repuatble shop that does it has a clean room they will put it in to do the work..
A single speck of dust no larger than 25 microns on the lcd can shadow in the picture. To give you some idea how small that is a blood cell is 7 microns wide...
