I've had my Canon PowerShot A590 IS digital camera for about 2 years now. It's been a really good camera up until about 2 months ago when my flash stopped working. I went into the settings to make sure the flash was turned on, which it was. I also put new batteries in the camera, but still no flash. Please help!! My daughter is 39 weeks pregnant and is being induced in 2 days. I'd love to have my camera working so I can get pics of my first grand-child!!
Thanks so much for trying to help. I tried this already but it still won't work. : (Thanks so much for trying to help. I tried this already but it still won't work. : (

No matter where you purchased it, Canon should honor repair of this under it's warranty (you've only owned it 2 months, it's still under warranty). Recommend contacting Canon repair for your local area, starting your search at WWW.Canon.com.
Use NMH type batteries standard batteries are not good enough for the write load that this camera draws. I think it recomjmends this in your manual if you still have it.
Hi,
Only you can make the executive decision if it would be worthwhile to fix the onboard flash.
You can send the camera into Canon and get an estimate on how much it would cost for the repair.
Hope this helps,
Andrew
