Hmm, what software are you using to convert your movie? and do you have the same problem if you copy a movie directly from a DVD? try doing that if you haven't already.
The supplied convertion software is awful, very badly written and a waste of time, I use "Arcsoft MediaConverter" it works well is fast and is just a simple drag & drop interface.

Obtain Sec24 Media Player, open your SNX file, click on Pause
go to the folder %AppData%\Sec24 Media Player (%AppData% refers to hidden AppData\Roaming folder in the User directory)
you will see a folder tempFile..., go into it
inside you will find .wav and .snx files, copy them into new directory
you can close Sec24 Media Player now
in the new directory, rename .snx files to .asf
open .asf files with VLC (Media Player might not play them out of the box)
Because it isn't an industry standard, not all media players support it yet, even though support is rapidly growing. There are two main options for playing MKV files. These include, using an MKV compatible media player or downloading the appropriate codecs.
Hi,
You need to convert your swf file to what samsung galaxy tab support which is WMV9, WMV7, WMV8, H.264, MPEG4, Xvid, DivX, H.263, VP8. Im not sure which converter is best for galaxy tab but you can try Flash SWF to video converter sofware.
Hope this helps.
If you ever have trouble to play ASF video file on the computer, you can turn to ASF video player for help. Leawo Blu-ray Player is a 100% free software. Arming your Windows computer with this program will guarantee all your ASF files are supported. Besides being as the best ASF player for Windows 7, the Windows version is also available on Windows XP/Vista/8/8.1/10, etc.
I work for AT&T and have seen this problem on a few BlackJack II's. The way to fix it is to do a master reset on the phone. This will allow it to play again...BE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR CONTACTS AND FILES BECAUSE THESE WILL BE DELETED!! Other than that, it will fix your problems!
You can reset your phone’s settings and clear all added data from memory.
Resetting the Phone
1. On the Home screen, press the Start soft key 2. Select Settings > More… > Security > More… > Reset. 3. Enter the reset password and press the Done soft key. The default password is 0000. 4. Press the Yes soft key to confirm. The phone resets and reboots itself
The video must be a MPG (MPEG), AIV, WMV, ASF, SVI, MP3, RM (RMVB), MOV or SMF type of video. If it is not, try and find or download a video converter. Also remember on Samsung Media Studio click menu, enviorment settings, general configuration, my PC and make sure that you have checked in all the checkboxes of video file types
have you loaded the file that came with from cd some suply xvid to install this is a codec for decoding files try another program to import from and convert over to mpeg from avi or asf format you did'nt say which format your files are in.
hope this helps

I've heard of this problem. The operationg system or part of it is on the hard drive so if something happens to the data the unit gets stuck at the opening window.
A suggestion I've read about is to open the unit and try and reconnect the ribbon cable to the drive, it's a push on job apparently.
Of course, this will invalidate your guarantee AND may not solve the problem.
I've not done it myself so can't give any firsthand advice.
