Battery is not chared while laptop is running with a.c. power

Hello, use the charger on another laptop and use another charge with your laptop. By so doing, you would now if its a charge fault or not. If its not a charger fault, it means the charging socket or the power board of the laptop is defective. You need to disassemble the laptop to get to the root of the problem. Regards.

check the black/orange wire at the alternator for battery voltage if no power check the fuesable link ( A )

check the orange/light blue wire at the alternator for battery voltage if no power check the fuesable links ( B & C )

check the light green/red wire for 12 volt with the engine running if no power replace the PCM.

if all wires have the proper voltage then replace the alternator

If the adapter is OK thenconnect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/batterycharging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's powersocket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position thisLED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a drysolder joint where it is connected to the motherboard.This can be repaired but itrequires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket andrepair. If you cannot DIY then I suggest you get a quote first.

Generally speaking,six hours is enough to charing SANYO Battery with full power ,when it is full it will stop charing automatically.

The alternator needs to be replaced because the car ignition system is running on your battery and the alternator is not charing it or supply dc power to run the car. If the battery is that dead you might have to replace the battery too but try the alternater first

remove the battery and plug in power..if it works then your battery having problem..if not then ur power adpter having problem...

Did the old one do the same thing? If true, your battery sounds like it is dead.

It is VERY difficult to break a wire or connection internally dropping, shaking, or otherwise damaging the laptop. But I'm going to try and give you an answer without just telling you, "the batteries bad get a new one."

That said, typically batteries either are good and hold a charge or they are bad and they don't. There isn't a lot to a laptop between the battery and power-supply. So, assuming the laptop is in fairly good condition, you will probably just need to replace the battery.

A lot can make the battery fail faster than it should. I've been told for example that running on a car phase converter all the time to charge your batteries, no running on batteries very often so that your always charging, etc. can lower battery life.

The only other problem I can think related to batteries is where the contacts have become corroded on the battery itself or in the laptop where the battery connects, which is something you should be able to visibly see.

If this is the case however and they are rusty, you can clean them off with a pencil eraser, cotton swab and sprite, or alcohol.

You can also use an ohmmeter to check the voltage both from the machine and in the battery itself.

The battery charger on the motherboard is bad. A small daughter board that holds the charging circuit will need to be replaced. I sure the battery is fine.
