Just to the left of the output (speaker) terminals, near the top of the amp, there's an LED marked "POWER/PROTECTOR". If the amp is connected properly and powered on, the LED is ON.

If the amp is being used for normal speakers, use a pair of RCA cables and connect the left/right channels to the appropriate inputs on the amp. The switch marked "LPF" should be "OFF".

If the amp is being used with the channels bridged for a subwoofer, use an RCA "Y" adapter and connect the single "Sub Out" preamp output from the head unit to both amp inputs. The switch marked "LPF" should be "ON" and the crossover set to about 80-100Hz.

Check the connections between the head unit and the XM tuner. If the connections are good check for power and ground.

Have mex bt2600 sony xplode car cd player ::: also have sony xplode amp model no.xm 754sx problem is i want to hook up a subwoofer and the amp to the head unit (also currently have 2 sony xplode 3ways...

If the Sony front end unit (stereo) has RCA jacks (Left and Right) in the back it's an input to the Xplode amp. If that's right then the Subwoofer putputs should plug or wire into the Xplode amp. I haven't hooked these up for some time but try a search on Youtube with the units you describe I'm more than 90% sure that there are videos there.

I need to know where to hook up the tweeter wires into the Sony Xplod CDX-F5700?

I do not know of any amplifiers with the number your calling for here but i do know of some head units. Your tweeter wires should hook up right with your mid-range wires. They can both run off the same circuit in a series.

power wire from batt fused to positive on amp .earth wire eg - to bare metal in car with bolt or screw. remote wire from amp to remote wire on back of head unit mostly blue wire it tells amp when to turn on then you need a set of rca cables to send sound from head unit to amp they go in subout if you wanna use sub or rear or front out for full sound best thing is to buy amp kit cheaper most the time and all you need there

Keeps shutting off at the lowest volume setting.

Check the switch wire connection. It's the one that turns the amp on when you turn the head unit on.

Amp not staying on

Hello lyttle_matt1,

Connect a DC voltmeter between the "remote" (+) terminal and the "ground" (-) terminal on the amp. When you turn on your Pioneer, you should read 12-14V. If you get voltage for a second and then it goes away, either the incorrect wire from the head unit is connected, or the head unit remote turn-on is defective. If the voltage remains on the terminal and the amp immediately turns back off, it's possible that the remote turn-on is not supplying adequate current for the amp. To determine if that is the case, run a separate wire from a positive (+) accessory terminal (cigarette lighter or fuse box) to the amp remote terminal. If the amp then turns on and stays on, you'll need to wire a relay into the turn-on wire. The wiring for such a relay is shown here. Most any 12V SPST or SPDT relay from an auto parts store or Radio Shack will work OK.

Sony xplode 1000 watt amp

Make sure you don't have a short circuit somewhere. Make sure the wiring is all intact.
