Yes you are. The power board is out - the section that distributes voltage to the audio and video circuits. Take it to a TV repair shop but first check the price of a new set like the one you have. Get an estimate from the shop - if it exceeds the price of a new TV then it's not worth fixing.

Mag LCD TV MA-32EF1AC has power but won't turn on with remote or with power button on side of tv screen

If neither the remote nor the tv power button has any effect then it is safe to say that you may have an issue with the power supply section of your set.

Hook a monitor to the video output, if picture is present it indicates a problem in the inverter board just below the LCD screen, [more commom] or the backlight behind the display is defective. Now! if both show the same symptom it is most likely the video graphics chip.

MAG flat screen TV

If you have sound, it means the LCD is either dead or the video firmware has locked up.

You'd hope it the firmware. To reset it, the easiest thing for you to do is pull the plug, wait 1 minute and replug it.

Didn't work?

Then the LCD panels are made by Quanta Display Inc. (QDI) of Taiwan. A common problem with cheaper LCD panels is the backlight goes out, so the screen is black but there actually maybe a picture there if you look close enough. If so, its likely a dead bulb. It will need professional service unless you know someone savvy with electronics.

Maginnovision LCD Monitor

You probably have a bad filter Capacitor in the power supply. Schmatics would help locate the faulty component, also you can tear it apart and look for any water intrusion. My wife cleaned the TV screen with windex and it ran down the screen and into the TV. It destroy a menu button which had to be replaced. It caused unusual simptoms.

LCD Tv MA-32EF1AC won't turn on

Sounds like The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
