Get photos and videos onto the disk

The camera is intended to take videos (and photos) and display them. It is not intended to display videos from another source.
If the external video was taken on another Canon camera then you might be able to view it on the camera if you put it onto a memory card. You'll have to put it onto the card using the camera that took the video, or else using a card reader connected to a computer.

I've taken out a photo,but don't how to send it to my gmail what to do in this matter.

They should but if not just locate them in your old computer and transfer them with a flash drive.

You can download videos to your computer through USB connection. Please try the following:

1. Use the USB cable to connect your Phone to the PC. Select "Disk drive" on the pop-up menu seen on the phone.
2. At your PC, search for *.3gp (default format for videos recorded) or mp4 for other videos, at the newly added USB storage device (this is your phone). The videos taken are usually found at F:\dcim\100MEDIA (the drive letter may vary), same as were photos taken are stored.

No, unfortunately there's no way to batch insert a date to a bunch of photos you've already taken. If you're wanting a date on all the photos I'd suggest going into the menu and there's an option so that the date and time is recorded onto the photos.

to put photos onto your disk is the reverse of taking the photos off. all you do is drag them from your computer folder into the folder on your disk. simple!

if you tried that but it didn't work then maybe your disk is full- in which case you will need to delete some of the items on there to make room.
To see if the disk is full:
1) on a pc go to the disk and right click, choose properties and it should tell you in a new window.
2) on a mac highlight the disk and then (in the top left hand bar) go to File and choose Get Info. This can also be done using the short cut 'cmd' and 'I'

Sounds like you took the video using AVCHD Lite. It's actually in a hidden folder on the memory card. Most computer will not recognize it. Recommend you don't use it anymore. Use Motion jpeg instead. Takes more space but looks just as good.

Assuming the photos were taken on the SD1100 and haven't been edited on the computer, you can use a card reader and copy the photos onto a card. If the photos were taken on a different camera, or edited on a computer, the camera most likely won't show them.

The videos taken should be in the same directory as the photos, but with a different extension. If you look at your memory card in windows explorer, the directory structure looks like "drive letter: \ DCIM \ 100SANYO \ SANY0001.JPG" or "drive letter: \ DCIM \ 100SANYO \ SANY0002.MP4"

The .MP4 files are the videos. You can copy them from that directory to somewhere on the computer where you can edit them or put them onto DVD.
