You don't use liquid oil. At the office supply stores they carry oil sheets that you insert just like shredding something. They come ion various pkgs. Staples and Office Depot stores carry them. They are universal, no model number needed. I hope this helps.

Where can i buy parts for my id armor shredder

Your question, while it does state "parts," doesn't specify which parts. The reason why my answer isn't going to tell you, is because the "parts" can vary from the safety flap all the way to the motor that drives the shredder blades.
My suggestion is that you find where you can be eco-friendly with the shredder's disposal and purchase a new one. If you are looking for a part that has anything to do with the workings of the shredder (blades, on/off switch, paper sensor motor), you are going to wind up spending almost as much as a new one would cost and perhaps even more. Plus you have to take into consideration, the time you would spend doing the repairs; surely your time is worth at least $10 an hour. You are most likely going to spend too much time making the repair. Believe me, I tried to fix one once (it was successful, just the "bellows" that expands to change the setting of the "normally off" micro-switch back to off) and it took me a couple of hours.
Purchase a new one and forget about "saving" money by doing the repair yourself.

Wont turn on

If you can lift the cutting head up from the waste bin
It maybe that the shredder cutters are jammed. Unplug from mains, and lift off top and place upside down. Use a small screwdriver and/or long nosed pliers and poke at any compressed paper wrapped around the blades - can take a while.
Give a quick spray to cutters with WD40 Replace - turn on - and run in reverse.
If all else fails, contact the maker

Why is my ID Armor ID-XC200D making a horrible noise when I shred?

kkrenn641:

That "horrible noise" is probably caused by the shredder gears meshing improperly. If you disassemble it again and look carefully at the gears, you will most likely see that some are not mating properly... Usually the motor gear and the first idler gear that meshes with the motor gear. If those two gears seem to be separated a bit, or slightly mis-aligned look carefully at where the motor mounts, and you may see that the plastic "bed" where the motor is mounted has melted from heat from the motor. This is caused by using the shredder too long without letting the motor cool down. You may be able to shim the motor housing to realign the gears, if you have the patience!

Just keeps running but blades do not turnn

The motor is connected to the shredding rollers with gears or a belt. Sounds like they are broken, unplug then take it apart and check.

Shredder with Oil light - Never goes off

To revove the oil indicator light, HOLD DOWN the Maintain Button for alteast 7 seconds. This will reset the system. Per owners manual, this indicator comes on after 250 operations. The shredder should be lubricated after 30 minutes of shredding, or a minumum of twice a month. After lubercating, 1 -0z across blades, run in reverse for 10 seconds.
HAPPY SHREDDING!

Have a Staples SPL-XC200d Paper Shredder. The 'add oil' light is on...but have added oil repeatedly. Does not need more oil. Have also unplugged overnight, thinking that would 'reset' the computer, no...

After you have added the shredder oil, you have to hold down the "Lubricate" button for about 5 seconds. This resets the counter and it will remind you to add oil when you have gone through about 250 more pages. Note: holding down the "Lubricate" button for 5 seconds will reset the counter and make the message disappear whether you add the oil or not, but it is highly recommended that you use the oil.
