Question about Protron PLTV-3750 Television

I have a 37inch protron flat panel.Problem is the picture is to big. when you watch a football game you cant evev see any scores on the bottem of the screen.How do I zoom it smaller?

You can zoom it smaller with the hd zoom # button on your set top box remote not the television remote. The button might be format or aspect if it is not hd zoom. But you do have to make sure the set top box is set to the correct resolution for this television (1080i for 1080i/1080p televisions and 720p for 720p televisions). You might also be on the incorrect input on the television so make sure you aren't.
There is also a wide button or view mode or etc. button on the television remote as well.

    the tv is a 720p how do I make sure its set right? and as far as the input are you talking about where the cable wire connects to?

YES you do. Broadcast television is now digital. If you hook up an antenna to the set and cant get any channels.

Find the Aspect ratio button on the TV remote. Press it a number of times to cycle through the options. Stop when the picture is the shape you want.

Have a read of your TV manual. Stuff like this is detailed in there.

Panasonc th-42px500u picture is too big, but zoom adjust is greyed out. how do I fix it?
The problem is in the TV settings not the cable box. There should be a button on the remote to cycle through the settings. Not sure which button it is but I've dealt with it before.

Cant see scores on bottom of tv screen for football games
Many TVs have a picture zoom function. Look in your owners manual to see how to set the screen optons.

I bought a 42" vizio HDTV with 1080P about a year ago and the whole picture can never fit the screen. i have went into the menu and played around with the horizontal and vertical positions and nothing...
There may be a setting for aspect ratio on your menu try and toy with these.

The picture on my tv is too big
The other poster was right, there is a zoom button on my CABLE REMOTE and once I pressed that my problem was solved. It's funny none of the techs knew that, at either Vizio or Comcast.

Dynex 42" HDTV - pressed "Comp" button now cant get back to TV
Press the TV button on the remote. You are confusing the Comp button with the Input button which allows you to switch between input ports.
